What Is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the big questions of life, faith, and purpose from a Christian perspective. It’s a place where people from all walks of life can gather to eat, watch, and talk — all in a safe, honest, and welcoming environment.


Each week includes a free meal, a thought-provoking video, and open discussion, where no question is off limits. Whether you’re a skeptic, a seeker, or someone returning to church after years away, Alpha is for you.

Each Alpha evening runs for about 90 minutes. You’ll share a relaxed meal with others, watch a short film on topics like Who is Jesus?, Why and how should I pray?, or How does God guide us? — and then break into small groups to chat about it. You can say as much or as little as you’d like.

Volunteer or Invite a Friend

Alpha works best when it’s shared. If you’re already part of Northern Life Church, we encourage you to pray about who to invite. We’re also looking for volunteers to help with setup, food, hospitality, and group discussion.
